I Moved to Lakeland from Mass in 63. My mother said I started singing as soon as I could talk. Loved Elvis, The Beatles, invasion got me going; I actually like the Yardbirds and The Kinks more than the Beatles & the Stones. Hendrix wowed me but it was the Allman Bros that inspired me. I have been very fortunate to have played with some extremely talented musicians, It is amazing the number of musicians that have come out of the area that have had national and worldwide success: Mike Marshall, Gram Parsons, Les Dudek, Jeff Calder, Larry Berwald, Danny Roberts, John Lafandre, Carl Chambers, J.D. Sumner, Jim Stafford, Bobby Braddock, and the list goes on and continues today with bands like Anberlin, Copeland, The Dark Romantics along with the Clark Bros. I have been blessed to have played with a lot of these people, grown up with some and listened to most.Just a few memories to share........Danny Roberts and I saw The Yardbirds in 1968, with Jimmy Page at the Lake Mirror Center. {Another story is} driving down I-95 to Vero Beach with Larry Berwald and Jerry Estep to do a gig the day Duane Allman died. As for myself, there isn’t much to share, as I was extremely naive and innocent when I started hanging around and started singing in bands.
