I am so happy to have a good report to give you. This morning when Babs and I were driving to see Danny at 9 am, we were both praying for progress. When we got there, he could clearly recognize us. I asked him if he could see me and he nodded yes. The neurosurgeon came in and asked him to obey some simple commands and he got an "A". Then they took the bolt out of his head that measures brain pressure (not in front of us!) When we came back at 1 pm, they had taken the tubes out of his throat (extubated him.) and he has an oxygen mask on. He is not supposed to talk but he said hey Bro to Terry and smiled. He tried to talk to Babs and I some. Some of it was pretty screwed up, but we don't know if that's the brain injury or the medication.He doesn't know about his left eye--one thing at a time. BUT YOUR PRAYERS ARE WORKING!!! Please keep them coming because he has a long road ahead.
We hope that he will be moved out of SICU to a step-down unit in a couple of days and then he will be able to have other visitors. I promise to keep you posted. He is being assessed by physical therapy, occupational therapy, eye docs and facial surgeons. I'll let you know!

I am so happy--I feel like this is the first breath I've taken since 11:15 Friday morning. Babs and Terry send their love and appreciation for all your support.

That news just gave me an ear to ear grin.....I guess that faith in prayer has begun to 'shower its power' on Danny and all of you! Thanks for making my day as well. Continued love, prayer and support to all of the Roberts Clan!!!

That is great news!! I left a VM on DR's cell for Babs with my number on it. If someone in the family needs a place to crash, take a hot shower, get a meal or whatever, We're here in Jax and you're all more that welcome. I hope to get by there sometime tomorrow so if anyone needs anything just call.

Man, this is great news. I've been logging on every couple hours since Friday lookin for the latest news and now i've got tears of joy. Please whisper to Danny that me and Judy love him and are praying for quick improvements. Tell him to imagine some really hot riffs as he lays still in the middle of the night, cause we all want to hear them again.

It's good to hear so much better! I've been nearly worrying myself crazy, running around the house more than our cat. (Why do none of you know me, and why wasn't I at the concert? I live in Canada. Figures! ) Anyway, send him a big hello and tell him to get better or I'm gonna start singing, from "Aimee Wilbury from Canada," he will know who I am. (Where did they say laughter was the best medicine? I forgot but it is...unless you get a stomachache while laughing. Then that's bad.)

If anybody needs a talk, email me, I'm good at listening...sometimes. I'll duct tape my mouth shut, though.
