You remember Vicki Hunter...sexy, wild, free spirited, crazy Vicki ????

We lost touch about 22 years ago, just after my youngest was born, i named her Colleen instead of Victoria and she didn't take it to well LOL ... after her and Tom Webb split up she moved Laketown then to MO. (of all places tornado alley) but that was where she was born A little burg with a population of 500 to 600 folks..

I have been trying to track her down since 1995..when i began to use the internet.....yesterday i got to talk to her.

About 8 months ago I found a site in her hometown newspaper the lst nown location I had of her...and posted a message if anyone knew her etc. two weeks ago i get a reply....said she was in a nursing home ...i couldn't locate her there....so i asked again he gave me her cousins number.... She called and said she would give it to Vicki and we would talk soon....

Dig this…the guy that had contacted me was her EMT.....she had had heart problems and he was the one that stayed with her in the ambulance on the ride to the hospital....
then he saw my post and.....

Several weeks have gone by and I had become very worried...I re-email her cousin...no reply... I love her so she is like my older CRAZY sister.....LOL. .and I was so close to getting to talk to her again...

Yesterday I woke up and put on the 'weather channel' as usual LOL and there is a 'Big Storm' heading her way....so I go get the phone from my son snoozing on the couch...he stays with me when he is in town(geologist /musician)...he tells me oh yeah she called a the other day but he forgot...but the number is still in the phone.....BINGO

I call and have just about finished leaving a message and Sonja (her sister)picks up....
The "Biggest Elvis Freak" I have ever known LOL Velvet paintings and all....

Vicki is very ill and has been alone for years. her home burnt to the ground in 2004 ..she lost everything...never had kids....married twice. Since the fire she has slipped into a deep state of despair from what I could gather from her sister . She is just been waiting...wanting to die...............

Sonja is there with her now and trying to bring her back to Fla .Auburndale... the problem is she may not make the trip alive. her heart is only functioning at 10 percent. she needs a triple bypass but is in such bad health she will not make it through the surgery at this time. She is also diabetic may lose her toe or if she stays stubborn her foot.....and apparently it is quite a challenge to move her around...although Sonja did say that since she has been in MO. Vicki is starting to try and move on her own steam

As we were talking and Sonja was telling me all this the phone went dead and I tried for an hour straight to keep trying to reconnect.....

About 2 hours later Sonja called me back....as we were talking , crying, etc. Vicki saw the report on the 'weather channel' and called to see if her sister was ok....cosmic huh......i quickly got the nursing home number and called immediately....before they could take her back to her room ....I’m in tears asking the attendant please let me speak with her it had been 22 years and they did....

They let us talk for about 15 min. I promised her I will come to Fla when she gets there....getting to her where she is take bus. plane train and auto…. I spent this years travel allowance coming to the “POLK” which was “priceless“…. I told here about the “gig“…I’m sending pics …...no internet where she is.

Please send her your good thoughts. and prayers.. that she makes it back to Fla with her family......I am heart broken .... but isn’t it cosmic how things work out... we spoke and that is the best and cosmic part.

vicki's sisters name is sonja...she didn't go to school in Lakeland she arrived in laketown with alice osten...from san francisco about 1965 ... lived with the grateful dead in Oakland... hung out with alice, colleen cullen and kathy gyrl and myself mostly... david stuckratt.. the boys of power...and the gainsville gang...paul and terry wilkensen..my brother bob...les dudac and the aurburndale winter haven gang.many a nickel night at zimmermans..beermans..long black hair very exotic looking..drove a green vw bus "matilda"... very out going...VERY

jsut a up date... i talked to vicki's siter yesterday ...vicki's condition hasn't changed much she has kind of a catch 22 going on...but thanks to everyones cards and letters here spirit is improving ...thanks so much b

just a quick update... vicki has been released and is improving everyday ...we spoke today and her spirits are higher.. thanks again for your cards and good thoghts they have really helped... peace
